8TH CLASS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
Age Criteria
Age for admission into 8th class shall be between 11.5 years to 14 years.
8th Class Entrance Examination shall be held in three parts as under:-
a. Written Examination (80%)
b. Interview (20%)
c. Medical Examination (Mandatory)
Written Examination
Written examination in the following subjects shall be scheduled in the last week of December either through ETEA or internally:-
a. Mathematics – 100 marks
b. English – 100 marks
c. Science – 100 marks
d. Urdu and Islamiyat – 100 marks
Marking:
In case of internal examination, Centralized marking shall be arranged as under:-
a. Vice Principal, Controller Examinations shall replace Roll Number Slips with Fictitious Numbers.
b. A team of 4 – 5 teachers of each subject shall mark the papers of respective subject by distribution of specific questions to each member.
General:
c. 40% marks are required to pass a subject.
d. Admission shall be granted purely on merit on the accumulated result of written test and interview.
Interviews
Only those candidates who pass in all subjects and secure at least 50% aggregate marks in the test (but not less 40% in any paper) shall be eligible for interview.
Medical Fitness
Medical fitness of the candidate is mandatory for admission.
